Recently former Manchester United striker Berbatov spoke openly about the shortcomings of the current team's most relied upon players and sparked a lot of debate amongst fans. Berba first praised Bruno Fernandes, who scored twice in the recent Champions League match against Istanbul, and pointed out that one of the goals was Scholes-esque, which is a tribute and recognition of the big man.
In addition Beba pointed out some of Bruno's shortcomings, stating that Bruno's first goal in the win over Istanbul was surprising. Technically it was difficult to finish the goal. Because one is never an expert in shooting from outside the box, but one could see that Bruno's shot was Scholes-esque. The latter was capable of hitting it straight into the dead center of the net in the air, and that was perfectly executed.
Beba also added: "Bruno's only weakness is on the defensive end, where he can improve. Because he is an attacking midfielder, he is able to create chances to score goals and play with power on the pitch, but he also needs someone in the team to cover for him."
Bruno has scored 20 goals for United, exceeding expectations. Very good in passing and shooting. After United's 4-1 win over Istanbul, Bruno was recognized as a leader. United have won back-to-back matches against Paris and Leipzig as well as Istanbul this season, and Bruno has only been key in those matches.
