The teams for the Aussie Women's Premiership finals have been confirmed and there is major injury news for both sides.
Melbourne City will host Sydney FC on Saturday, May 4 in the season's title decider and the hosts have been dealt an injury blow with 15-year-old Australian youth team captain Shelby McMahon ruled out of the match. Head coach Dario Vidosic revealed that McMahon suffered the injury in the semi-final against the Newcastle Jets and will not be involved in Saturday's grand final.
Meanwhile, Sydney FC have also received good news with the return of Fiona Watts to action after more than four months out of action. Watts underwent surgery to repair a torn lateral collateral ligament in her knee in December, with the club confirming that the Englishwoman would miss the remainder of the regular season. The striker, who has scored three goals in six appearances this season, has now returned to training and is in with a chance of being named in Saturday's Grand Final squad.
