Ingolstadt has officially announced that the team has parted ways with Michael Körner and promoted U19 head coach, 32-year-old former Dutch women's international Sabrina Whiteman, who is in charge until the end of the season.

"Ingolstadt is special to me and there is no other place than here to make my first team coaching debut." Whiteman lamented upon taking over, "I started here 19 years ago and took my first steps as a coach here."

Whiteman became the first female head coach in German men's professional soccer, after Luis Etta served as an assistant coach at Union Berlin.
