West Ham have officially announced that at the end of the season, manager
Moyes (name)
will leave the team, his contract is about to expire.
In Moyes' four and a half years in charge of West Ham, he has twice guided the team into the top seven of the Premier League and managed to win the European Cup last season. It was West Ham's first major tournament title since winning the FA Cup in 1980 and their first European trophy since 1965.
Scottish coach Moyes, 61, has coached Everton, Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland. He briefly coached West Ham in 2017, but his contract was not renewed at the end of the season. However, in December 2019, West Ham once again hired Moyes as their manager. So far, he has led the team in 228 matches with 102 wins, 43 draws, and 83 losses.
Moyes led West Ham to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League in the 2020/21 season, the best record in the team's history. And in 2022/23, he led the team to win the European Union Cup, ending West Ham's 43-year title drought and adding a major competition trophy to his managerial career.
West Ham currently have a record of 13 wins, 10 draws and 13 losses in the Premier League, and are in ninth place with 49 points.
