, who privately expressed this desire.
Reports suggest that the young River Plate player is highly sought after by Real Madrid and has received a positive response from their side. Mastantono has said in private that he is eager to play for Real Madrid and wants to put the interest of other giants on the back burner and prioritize Real Madrid's offer.
Real Madrid have been informed of the news and are considering ways to bring Mastantono to the Bernabeu. The young player's stance has led to more amicable negotiations between Real Madrid and River Plate. River Plate increased Mastantono's release fee to €45 million when the player's contract was renewed in March. However, considering the friendly relationship between Real Madrid and River Plate, Real Madrid wanted to reduce that fee following the negotiations.
According to the media, Real Madrid plan to adopt Endrick's signing model: pay a fixed transfer fee plus a variable portion and allow Mastantono to stay at River Plate until he turns 18 (i.e. August 2025).
Mastantono, who plays as an attacking midfielder and winger for River Plate, has scored two goals in 11 games so far this season and is currently valued at €4 million.
