Sporting Madrid has made significant gains in the transfer market, officially announcing that it has reached an agreement with Ligue 1 side Antwerp to sign 18-year-old midfielder Wo Meilun for a six-and-a-half-year contract, with a reported transfer fee of 22 million euros (HK$187 million). The Belgian international has been hailed as the "new Dibny," and his future is unlimited.

Womellen is a youth product of Antwerp and has been a mainstay of the team for the past two seasons. He helped the team win the Bundesliga title last season and was able to participate in the UEFA Europa League this year. Although Antwerp only won 1 and lost 5 of their 6 matches in the UEFA Europa League group stage, Hormelen still had some outstanding performances, including scoring in the first 2 minutes against Barcelona in the last round, helping Antwerp to a 3-2 win in the coldest game of the tournament.
