Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson earlier let it slip that he wanted to return to Europe to play, and recently Ajax has responded by saying that it is willing to sign him, but he may have to accept a drastic pay cut of 80%, which will artificially double the 20% he received in Saudi Arabia.
Jordan Henderson left Liverpool for Saudi Arabia's Ittifaq last summer, handing out five assists in 19 matches, with a weekly salary of up to £350,000 (about HK$3.48 million), which is tax-free, and will certainly have to give up a lucrative income as he hopes to return to European competition.
