Former Liverpool star Heathcote is facing a bankruptcy crisis after his pub was earlier wound up by the court with debts of £163,000 (about HK$1.62 million), but what is really troubling him is a celebrity investment scheme that has left him in deep financial trouble.
Heathkey, 45, a former top Premier League player with a handsome income and an estimated fortune of £12 million in 2009, lives with his wife and six children and runs a pub, but earlier the court wound up his pub with a debt of £163,000. HM Revenue & Customs filed a bankruptcy petition in the High Court alleging that he was involved in a tax dispute and owed £92,000 in tax between 2017 and 2020 and was fined another £42,000.
