Manchester City beat lowly Saffied United 2-0 at home in the English Premier League on Saturday (30), making it four wins in a row to close out a 'bumper' 2023 campaign. City's manager, Diego Cordero, said he is very happy with the results this year, but will only give the players three days off to celebrate the New Year, and will then focus on the 2024 campaign.
Manchester City had a "cold weather" ceremony before the match, setting out the UEFA, EPL, EFL, UEFA Super Cup and World Championship Cup 5 trophies, and taking a group photo of the whole team. Against Saffield United, the game was easily controlled by Lodi Kaskandi who broke the deadlock in the 14th minute, and Zulian Ivaris who sealed the win in the 61st minute, giving City an easy win with 82% of possession.
