Women's World Cup

The Asian Football Confederation of the Final Round has 6 qualifications, second only to the 11 of the powerful United Soccer Association of Europe. Australia and New Zealand, as hosts, automatically qualify for two World Cups, so the remaining Asian teams vie for the remaining five spots and a shock bye.

Thanks to the expansion of the final round of the Women's World Cup to 32 teams, the 2022 Women's Asian Cup in India is also the Asian qualifier for the 2023 Women's World Cup according to AFC rules, so as long as you finish in the top 5 of the Women's Asian Cup you will get a World Cup ticket, except for the Australian women's soccer team of course. So if you make it to the top 4 in the Asian Cup, you're guaranteed a spot in the Women's World Cup, and if you finish in the top 8, you'll have to force a goal difference.

A total of 12 teams are in contention for the 2022 Women's Asian Cup, with 8 teams advancing to the knockout stage after the group stage. In the knockout stage, the first to be played was the quarterfinals, after four sets of matchups, the teams that advanced to the semifinals included the China Women's Football Team, Japan Women's Football Team, South Korea Women's Football Team and the Philippines Women's Football Team, which automatically qualified for the 2023 Women's World Cup, while the fifth-ranked Vietnam Women's Football Team in the top eight also possessed the qualification to advance to the 2023 Women's World Cup, with the sixth- and seventh-ranked Chinese Taipei Women's Football Team and Thailand Women's Football Team.

Unfortunately, the Asian teams representing Asia in the Intercontinental Additional Qualification Tournament, Chinese Taipei Women's Football Team and Thailand Women's Football Team, did not succeed in breaking out of the additional competition to reap the qualification for the 2023 Women's World Cup. Therefore, the teams representing Asia in the 2023 Women's World Cup include Japan Women's Football Team, China Women's Football Team, Korea Women's Football Team, Philippines Women's Football Team, Vietnam Women's Football Team and Australia Women's Football Team.
