In the early hours of Thursday morning (28th), Manchester City, who won the World Cup last week, won 3-1 against Eyewitnesses and returned to the top four in the table. City's slow start to the game saw them go down 0-1 in the first half, but the team's leader, Diego Guardiola, used the "World Champions Gold Badge" on his players' shirts as a motivation during the break, and it really brought City back to life, staging a comeback once again.

With Ayn Rand still out, City struggled in the first half against a struggling Ewarton side. In the 29th minute, Rodrigo Casciandi lost a ball in the penalty area, which was intercepted by Dewey McNeil and then headed in by Jack Harrison. After taking the lead, EWT used their signature dead ball and long passes to put City's defense at risk, giving EWT a 1-0 lead at half time.

After the change of sides, City started Turbo, and in 53 minutes Phil Cotton scored a world-class goal from about 20 yards away from the goal. City's offense was on the rise, and in the 62nd minute, an EWT player was penalized 12 yards for a handball in the penalty area, and Zulian Ivaris scored to make it 2-1. EWT tried to go back into the game at the end of the period, but in the 86th minute, goalkeeper Bickford was caught in a bolt from outside the penalty area, and Benedetto Schwarz scored in the first minute to make it 3-1 in City's favor.

Phil Cotton said after the match, "We didn't play too badly in the first half, but just like the previous game (which we didn't win), we were discouraged. However, Gordiona kept motivating us in the half time, pointing to the gold badge on our heart, saying that the world champion is not falling from the sky, and we have to believe that we are the top of the game.
