The Times reports that Liverpool shot-stopper Mohamed Shana will leave the Reds to report to the Egyptian national team for the African Cup of Nations (AFC) after his next league match against Newcastle.
The 2024 African Cup of Nations will be held in Côte d'Ivoire from January 13th to February 11th. Egypt is a contender for the Cup of Nations, having reached the final of the tournament last year before losing to Senegal to finish second, and has a good chance of making it to the final stage this time around, with Sanaa out of the Liverpool squad until mid-February.
