According to foreign media reports, the International Football Federation (FIFA) has sent a warning letter to the Brazilian Football Federation (FBF), banning the Brazilian national team and the Brazilian club from all international matches if they allow other bodies to interfere in the affairs of the federation, resulting in the need to reelect the president of the federation.

A court in Rio de Janeiro ruled on December 7 that Brazilian Football Federation (FBF) president Ainaro Rodrigues was guilty of irregularities in the 2022 presidential election and dismissed him from his post, a ruling that was later upheld by two of Brazil's highest courts. Since FIFA has always prohibited third-party interference in the affairs of its member federations, it sent a letter to the Brazilian FA, saying that if they did not listen to its appeals and quickly re-run the presidential election, which would have resulted in the dismissal of Ainaro Rodrigues, it would penalize the Brazilian national team and Brazilian clubs by banning them from participating in all international matches, which would mean that Brazil might not be able to qualify for the Copa América, which will be held on June 20 next year.
