European Super League takes a new turn after April 2021's 'Two Days of Rehabilitation'?
The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), after 15 judges, ruled that FIFA and UEFA had abused their dominant position in football and ruled that all of their punitive measures against the formation of the UEFA Super League were illegal, although the judgment also stated that "this does not mean that the competent authorities have to ratify the UEFA Super League," which is still considered to help the UEFA Super League.
Real Madrid (soccer team)
and Barcelona gave UEFA and FIFA a blow. So does this mean the birth of the European Super League? So far, there are still a majority of people in Europe who are against the European Super League. Whose cake has the European Super League moved and whose life is it going to revolutionize? This is what I must talk about next, so that we can discover the real truth.
But before we dive into that, let's briefly explain this new wave of the European Super League structure and how it differs from the old version.

20 teams
As you can see above, compared to the 2021 version, this time around there are neither permanent members of the UEFA Premier League, there are elevations and de-escalations due to the three-tier structure of the European competition, and the competition has been streamlined a bit, even though there are only 20 teams that can be squeezed in each year by their league results, or the third tier of the blue league.
In addition, midweek games do not affect weekend leagues, strong and transparent regulation, and team salary cap settings/FFP, are all the same as in the 2021 version.
Firstly, the Court of Justice of the European Union has ruled that the punitive clauses put in place by UEFA and FIFA to prevent the birth of the European Super League have been explicitly outlawed. This statement sweeps away the biggest obstacle to the birth of the European Super League, "Players participating in the European Super League are not eligible to play
the national team
"Gone are the 'teams have to be kicked out of the league for participating in the European Super League' restrictions, which the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) found to be affecting the EU law of free competition.
This seemed to set the conditions for the birth of the UEFA Super League, but the CJEU then went on to say that "this does not mean that the UEFA Super League has to be approved (by the competent authorities)" was somehow more like an invitation to sit down and talk without stepping in to guide the parties.
Not only the European Super League, but any other possible league is now being introduced as a free competition by the EU Court of Justice ruling, but the European Super League has not yet been born because only 2 teams have been confirmed, the system is lined up, but the broadcasters, sponsors and backers are not in place yet, so it's still a long way off from being born, but at least it has got the "license to be born" to the annoyance of the FIFA and the UEFA. UEFA is quite helpless and annoyed.
