Dortmund
Mundo FC has once again reached the Champions League (
European crown
) final! This achievement comes 11 years after they last reached the final. In this season's Champions League semifinals, Dortmund knocked out French giants Paris 2-0 on aggregate
St. Germain for a historic win for the team.
The last time Borussia Dortmund reached the Champions League final was in the 12/13 season. Although they were defeated in the final then by Bayern
Munich, without a chance to win the title, but this time they hope to rewrite history and take home Europe's most expensive trophy.
In the 12/13 Champions League final, Dortmund's starting lineup included players such as Weidenfeller, Piszczek, Hummels, Subotic, Schmelzer, Sven Bender, Gündoğan, Blaszczykowski, Reus, Grosskreutz and Lewandowski. Interestingly, Hummels and Reus, who were in the starting lineup at the time, are still playing for Dortmund and have seen the team's history go downhill.
