Real Madrid goalkeeper Tybald Gauthier suffered a serious injury to the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a training session in August this year and is likely to miss all the matches this season. The 31-year-old goalkeeper is also determined to lose, and has already made it clear to his club that he won't be playing in the final week of the UEFA Europa League, which is due to start in mid-June next year, and is focusing on his rehabilitation and training work in the hope of returning to action next season with a 100% healthy state.

After his surgery, Tito Gauthier has been in the rehabilitation stage, although it was rumored that he might come back at the end of the season, and even have a chance to play in the European Cup. However, according to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Gauthier has informed Real Madrid that he will focus on rehabilitation and training this summer, and does not intend to participate in the European Cup.
