EWT has been penalized by the English Football Association (EFA) with the worst penalty (10 points) in history for violating the Financial Fairness Ordinance, which has led to the relegation of the "Dragons" to the next division. It is reported that EWT fans have launched a series of protests, and on Saturday (25), they even went to the headquarters of the Premier League in London to hold a demonstration, holding up a signboard with the word "corruption" on it, arguing that the FA's decision was unfair.

Nearly 100 Ewarton fans demonstrated outside the Premier League's headquarters with the consent of the police, holding banners and placards accusing the club of corruption. Ivory Coast's team leader Derek Dyche responded, "I am just as shocked as everyone else, and looking at the severity of the penalty, 'inappropriate' is the club's response, but it doesn't affect what we have to face on the pitch.
