"Sotheby's has announced that a set of six jerseys of Argentina's "Ballon d'Or", which won the World Cup in Qatar last year, will be auctioned at Sotheby's New York from November 30th to December 14th, with an estimate of more than US$10 million (approximately HK$78 million).
It will be the one year anniversary of the World Cup, in which the U.S. won 7 matches, with 6 wins and 1 loss. Sotheby's announced that it will auction off 6 jerseys, including the first half of the finals, the quarterfinals, the last 8, and the last 16, as well as 2 of the group stage matches, which will be put on public display for free during the auction period.
