Brazilian star Nima suffered a serious injury in the World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay last month and will need to stay for 10 months, ending the season early. Hilal, the club to which he belongs, has no choice but to cancel the registration of this striker, freeing up a foreigner quota, in preparation for the reopening of the winter transfer market in January next year, to fill up the position by signing a new star.

The 31-year-old Nima joined Saudi Arabia's Hilal from Paris Saint-Germain for a transfer fee of 90 million euros (about HK$750 million) this summer, but after scoring one goal and three assists in only five appearances, he was injured and finished the rest of the season, and Hilal really lost a lot of money. According to the Saudi Arabia League regulations, each team has only 8 foreign aid quotas, Hilal had already used up the quotas, but with Nima's long shake for 10 months, the club has taken a contingency measure, and intends to temporarily cancel his player registration, so as to sign a new foreign aid.
