Newcastle's UEFA Europa League campaign this season was marred by a number of injuries, with striker Jaeger McAfee shaking his shoulder in the UEFA Europa League at the end of last month. However, leader Eddie Hauwer decided to take a gamble on it, asking him to play in the English Premier League match against Arsenal on Sunday (5th), and the result was that Jaeger McAfee shook his head once again, and will be undergoing surgery to cure the injury, and is expected to be out of action for three months.

The two men were injured in the last UEFA Europa League match against Dortmund, and after shaking their shoulders for only 10 days, they came back to the game, and then played 16 minutes against Arsenal in a heart attack. Eddie Hauwitz said: "We know that Jack and Mephieh have a chance to get rid of it again, and also have a chance to get through the game safely, but it's a pity that it seems to be getting rid of it again, and the surgery is the only way to do it, and I estimate that it's going to take three months, which is a big blow to the team.
