The Saudi Arabian clubs have been on a roll this summer, with stars such as C Ronaldo, Bensma, Nima, Nicolai Jandy and Jordan Henderson, and of course they are aiming to compete at the highest level. Rumor has it that Saudi Arabia may follow the example of Israel and Kazakhstan, and move from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to the European Football Confederation (EFC), which would allow clubs such as Ittihad, Hilal, and Ayn Rand to challenge for a place in the UEFA Europa League.
On this ridiculous plan, renowned Middle East soccer expert Leigh Ann Vickers explained to the Daily Star, "The chances of this happening are very slim because this decision will affect the national team. Saudi Arabia had a good performance in the World Cup last year, and if it joins the UEFA, the chances of them playing in the World Cup will not be the same as if they stayed in Asia."
