England and Manchester United star and 1966 World Cup hero Bobby Charlton has died at the age of 86.
Born on October 11, 1937, Bobby Charlton, who was instrumental in England's 1966 World Cup victory, celebrated his 86th birthday 10 days ago.
During his time at Manchester United, Bobby Charlton won three top-flight titles, one English FA Cup and one European Champions League (the predecessor of the UEFA Champions League), and was one of the survivors of the 1958 Munich Air Disaster.
"The Red Devils named the South Stand at Ottawa Stadium the Bobby Charlton Stand in 2016 in honor of the great scorer. The three bronze statues outside Ottawa Stadium include Bobby Charlton, George Bess and Denis Law.
