The UEFA has officially announced that the United Kingdom and Ireland have been awarded the right to host the final week of the 2028 UEFA Europa League, with the quarter-finals and the final to be held at Wembley Stadium in London. England lost the UEFA Europa League final two years ago, defeating Italy by a shot of 12 yards at the stadium, and have not been able to break the drought of more than half a century of championships, but will have the advantage of home ground again after five years, and the chance to win the championships.

England hosted the European Cup in 1996 and won the right to host part of the tournament last year. This time around, England and Ireland will be co-hosting the 2028 European Cup in the name of the United Kingdom, so in addition to Wembley Stadium, Manchester City Stadium, and St. James' Park in England, the tournament will also be held in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, and the opening match will be held at the Millennium Stadium in Wales. The opening match will be held at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

It is worth mentioning that as the hosting venue involves five independent members of the European Football Association (EFA), including England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, there is still no final decision on whether the five national teams will go straight to the final week. However, according to the British media, England is inclined to participate in the final rounds of the tournament in order to maintain their form, and the "Big Brother of England" is full of confidence in making it to the final rounds of the tournament.

In addition, UEFA also announced that Italy and Turkey will co-host the final week of the 2032 UEFA Europa League.
