The level of enforcement of the Premier League has become a hot topic recently, and the Arsenal's home match against Manchester City in the early hours of Monday morning (9) also saw a major controversy. City's midfielder Gao Huasi played "closing down the mountain" twice in the first half, but was released by referee Olivier and the VAR. Former Premier League referee Katon Paul said after the game that Gowasi's "2 red cards" were not too much.

In the first half, Gao Wah Sik flew into the back of Martin Ordigart and was shown a yellow card by Olivier, VAR intervened to see if it was going to be "upgraded" to a red card, but in the end, the card was not shown; not long after, Gao Wah Sik flew into the front of the field to attack Dee Glen Rice and once again "hit a foot but not hit a wave", but Olivier only ruled that the foul was committed, and didn't even show a yellow card.
