In Group B of the UEFA Europa League in the early hours of Friday morning (6), English Premier League powerhouse Brighton battled back from a two-goal deficit to hold Marseille to a 2-2 draw and pick up their first-ever European point. Brighton are at the bottom of Group B, which is regarded as the "Group of Death", but are only three points adrift of the top of the table and still have hopes of qualifying.

Brighton made their historic European debut against Marseille, led by Galdasso, and lost their heads in the first half, conceding two goals in 90 seconds in the 19th and 20th minutes. Brighton came to their senses after the change of sides, and in the 54th minute, Tomakomai assisted a goal to Pascogos, and then two minutes before the end, Zuopeto scored a 12-yard goal to make it 2-2, and Brighton escaped two consecutive defeats in the group stage, and scored their first-ever point in Europe.
