The Women's Asian Football Association (WAFA) enters the final stage of the tournament with the North Korean Women's Football Association (NKWFA) taking on the Uzbek Women's Football Association (UWFA) in the Final 4 on Tuesday (3).
The North Korean women's soccer team beat their arch-rivals South Korea 4-1 in the quarterfinals. They conceded first, then tied the game in the 80th minute, and then scored two goals in extra time to seal the victory, which showed that the North Korean players have a high level of willpower. Even though they had not participated in any international matches in the previous three years and had been removed from the international rankings by the FIFA, their performance was not affected at all.
