Chelsea's captain, Les Champion, has been out of action since he was injured in the first round of this season's league match against Liverpool, and was once estimated to need to be shaken up until Christmas. However, according to the Daily Mail, the 23-year-old England international's recovery is progressing better than expected, and will be back to work in a short period of time, and is expected to be able to make it in time to play in the Premier League's "London Beatdown" against Arsenal at home in the early hours of Oct. 22nd.

James Lees was appointed as Chelsea's new captain this season, replacing the departed Espacio Guta. Unfortunately, the right back suffered a hamstring injury in the first match of the new season. The latest news is that his injury has been cleared up after rehabilitation and he is expected to return to the team on October 7th.
