Before Celtic are about to face St. Mirren away in the 3rd round of the Scottish Premier League, manager Brendan Rodgers was interviewed by Sky Sports to give his views on the recent transfer rumors about Manchester City's move for the team's striker Henwu Furuhashi. In the face of all the speculation, Rodgers appeared quite calm and focused.

When asked directly about the transfer rumors between Manchester City and Henwu Gulbridge, Rodgers made it clear: "We haven't received any official news from Manchester City about this, so I think it's obviously a rumor from the outside. There are always rumors like this in soccer, but all we can do is stay calm and focus on our own game and training."

Rodgers also revealed that he has not discussed these transfer rumors directly with Henwu Furuhashi. "If I needed to talk to every player in the squad about these rumors and speculation, then I'm afraid I'd be too busy with it all day to do anything else more important." He emphasized, "I am not interested in these transfer rumors, my main focus is always on the Celtic team and how to best prepare for the upcoming games."

Rodgers spoke highly of Henwu Furuhashi's recent form. "To my relief, Henwu Furuhashi has done very well in training over the last few days and he looks in good shape and fully ready to take the field in the weekend's game." Rodgers said, "The most important thing for me is that he is able to find his confidence on the pitch, enjoy the game and respond to the unwarranted speculation with his performances."
