Recently, the dust has finally settled on the transfer of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku. According to the latest report from Chelsea's team reporter Kinsella, Lukaku has reached a transfer agreement with Serie A powerhouse Napoli and is expected to join the team permanently for a transfer fee of around £30 million. The news marks a new journey for Lukaku after his brief return to Stamford Bridge.

The exact amount of the transfer fee is slightly different, but a number of authoritative media outlets and journalists have confirmed its general range. Romano earlier revealed that the transfer fee included a fixed portion of €30 million as well as a variable clause that could be as high as €15 million, while Di Marzio noted that the transfer fee was all fixed but with a 30% share of the second transfer attached. However, according to Kinsella's latest claims, the final agreement does revolve around £30 million (around €35 million) and includes a clause for a possible secondary transfer split in the future.

Lukaku's departure has also sparked further speculation about Chelsea's reinforcement strategy. Sources claim that this transfer could indirectly drive the move of Nigerian striker Victor Osmeen to Chelsea. Chelsea have shown great interest in Osmeen, but considering the multiple factors at the financial and tactical levels, Chelsea preferred to bring in the highly effective goalscorer on loan rather than paying a hefty transfer fee directly. Such an operation can not only bring immediate combatants to the team, but also reduce the financial pressure to a certain extent, leaving more flexibility for the future transfer market.
