Manchester United star Anthony Mathias, who was involved in a domestic violence scandal, was originally accused of violent assault by three women, but according to the Daily Telegraph, one of the law students has withdrawn the charges, which means that Anthony's family is left with only two lawsuits against his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin and banker Ingrid Lana.
De Freitas, the law student who dropped the charges, had already reported in Brazil in May 2022 that he had been attacked by Anthony and another player's ex-wife in a car, and that he had tried to escape through a red light before stopping the car, but the Daily Telegraph reports that De Freitas has dropped the charges. Anthony, who is suspended by United, still faces four assault charges from Cavallin and a lawsuit from Ingrid Lana.
