According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, 36-year-old Uruguayan goal scorer Suarez has notified his Barclays Premier League club, Gammeo, that he intends to terminate his contract early and hang up his boots, ending his 18-year career as a professional footballer because of the pain of his knee injury.

It is reported that Suarez has been suffering from a right knee injury, recently felt more and more pain, even affecting his life with his family, so he proposed to Gammeo early termination of the contract, the end of the player's career.
