Nov. 21 (Bloomberg) - Mann Night reports.

Manchester United Football Club

Changes are taking place, but the club's stagnation under the Glazer family still leaves people disgruntled.

The table at which Ten Hagh holds his press conferences every Friday has survived four official United managers and two interim ones. A member of staff admitted last year that they hated the sight of the black, cylindrical table, but it is still there.

Carrington's restaurant and swimming pool have been lavishly refurbished, but there are still some nasty reminders of United's stagnation, which doesn't sit well with the self-proclaimed biggest club in the world. United are also changing, and last year saw some tweaks in some key departments for the better. Richard Arnold empowered departments and United became more open, cooperative and reconnected with the fan base. Arnold's tenure disintegrated with the abandonment of Greenwood, and Arnold was furious that United's decisions were being leaked, and is said to have launched a manhunt for the mole. According to educated speculation from colleagues, the individual is still employed by the club. United have misjudged how much their fans stick to their principles.

The immediate reason for Arnold's impending departure is not the Greenwood issue, but his support has not recovered. Arnold has known for a long time that this would be his last year at United. The day before the Manchester derby, he attended the Paris

The Rugby World Cup final was held and his passion for the sport and his relationship with the Glazer family always left a mark on the fans. The former Woodward also seemed to be more of a rugby fan, much to Mourinho's chagrin. Arnold has always been a down-to-earth guy who has built up a rapport with some of the players in the dressing room. A loyal supporter, Arnold has also urged fans not to believe media reports unfavorable to the Glazer family.

The phased takeover of Manchester United by Sir Ratcliffe's Inglis Group will be the beginning of the end of the Glazer family era. United during Arnold's tenure have regressed significantly this season and meaningful change is needed. John Murtaugh was one of the first behind-the-scenes hires during Woodward's tenure. That could leave him in a precarious position amidst the upcoming investment by Inglis. Murtaugh, who had defeated outside candidates and had a feud with Bart, took the March 2021 position of

The post of director general. Bart, who left two weeks after Murtaugh's appointment, questioned the former's loyalty, which sparked a row.

During Murtaugh's tenure, he has created a body consisting of an Associate Director of Football, Head of Recruitment, Head of Football Operations, Head of Data Science and Head of Football Negotiations. For some, Murtaugh's decision to ignore the outcry in the dressing room against Pochettino and make Ten Hahn United manager was a bold one, and it has certainly gone backwards of late.

After the Ronnick experiment, United's recruitment strategy is indeed outdated as they continue to lure reinforcements for the manager instead of buying players for the team. Murtagh and Ten Hahn's rate of getting reinforcements right has been very low, with United spending £146.3 million in transfer fees to sign Anthony and Mount, both of whom were dropped from the squad last month.

Casemiro was influential last season but has struggled this season. Evans is fourth on the list of center back reinforcements. Lisandro is the only player to be recognized and is expected to miss at least four more months of action this year. United's recruiters raised questions about Amrabat, but United still backed Ten Hahn, which undermined United's due diligence on Ziyech, who was Ten Hahn's recommended replacement for Anthony.
