Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- According to Sky Sport Italia, the
Rome, capital of Italy
Captain Pellegrini is expected to play this weekend's
Serie A
League comeback.
Pellegrini missed more than a month after suffering a right thigh flexor strain in the UEFA Cup group stage in early October. Pellegrini was previously on the roster for the Rome derby, but did not get a chance to play. Sky Sport Italia said that Pellegrini's recovery in the last week has been good, and he will be able to take part in the team practice and is expected to return to the Serie A match between Roma and Udinese at the end of the week.
Pellegrini made only 4 appearances in the first 12 rounds of Serie A this season, totaling 312 minutes. His absence has led to a big impact on Roma's offense. Pellegrini's direct passing is one of Roma's major attacking tools, and he also has excellent set-piece footwork.
