The Saudi Arabian league has made a surprise acquisition! According to CBS Sports, Hilal has shifted its target to Brazilian star Nima after failing to make a bid for the king of soccer, Hilal's top delegation flew to Paris on Friday (9) to make a bid for the player, offering an annual salary of 200 million euros (about HK$1,685 million), which is the same as that of Cronut, with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) having given the green light for the transfer.
Hilal, which is controlled by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund (PIF), originally regarded Mez as an ace acquisition, but after the other side decided to join USMNT's MIAMI, Hilal immediately switched to Nyima and quickly sent a delegation to Paris to conduct negotiations. 31-year-old Nyima is currently under contract until 2025, however, PSG has already put him up for sale since the summer of last year, and will not block the transfer of Nyima to PSG if there are any clubs that are willing to take him over. Reports suggest that PSG will only ask for a transfer fee of 45 million euros (about HK$380 million) to release the player.
The key to this transfer lies in Nima's intentions, as PSG reportedly touted to a number of European clubs in the past few months, but the response was mediocre. Hilal has been very sincere this time around, offering a contract with an annual salary of 200 million euros on par with Ainas' C Ronaldo, and most importantly, a large number of famous players have landed in the Saudi Arabian League recently, making this tournament the center of attention in the football world.
Saudi Arabian champions Ittihad announced earlier that they have secured the services of Benschmar and have agreed a transfer deal with another French star, Nicolas Gendry. Einars, who own C Ronaldo, are interested in acquiring Crystal Palace striker Werfelt Sachs, while Gundogan, Malles, Alexis Sanzis and Aubameyang are rumored to have received offers from the Saudi club.
