Luton's fairytale promotion to the Premier League has secured the club £180 million (HK$1.742 billion) in revenue, but they have a lot of work to do this summer. In addition to buying new players, they have to rebuild their 100-year-old home stadium to Premier League standards in 12 weeks.

Luton's Kenilworth Road stadium, built in 1905, has a capacity of 10,356, the smallest in the Premier League. The entrance to the stadium is made up of two blue iron gates, and you have to walk through the back alleys of nearby homes before entering the stadium. According to the Daily Mail, Luton will spend £10 million (about HK$96.8 million) on a partial redevelopment of the stadium, including the addition of a media center, an analysis room, toilets, a cafeteria, and the replacement of floodlights and seating, which will be completed within 12 weeks of the off-season.
