Normally, this matchup would be one of the most anticipated battles in the West Coast, but Sporting Kansas has had a few tough seasons and is at the bottom of the league standings, so it's not a good situation for the visitors to take on the Seattle Sounders, who are at the top of the standings.

However, every team in the USL is capable of beating any opponent if they deliver a decent performance, so I think Seattle Sounders will not be easy to deal with this match, especially if you consider that Sporting Kansas still has a group of quality players in their squad despite their poor recent performance.

Aaron Peledo is perhaps the most impressive of them all, as he will be hoping to bounce back this season after missing the 2022 season due to injury. He recently scored in the USL Cup, and although he didn't score against CF Montreal last time out, I'm sure his confidence will improve after the USL Cup.

When it comes to confidence, I don't think there's a player in the USL with more confidence than Seattle Sounders' Jordan Morris. The USMNT international has scored 8 goals in 10 league matches this season and leads the league's top scorer list, and will be looking to add to that tally against Sporting Kansas, one of the worst defenses in the USL.

In fact, I imagine there are a few other players in the Seattle Sounders squad who would like to see goals in this game. Redillas and Hebo Arroyo have had a good start to the season, and one or two goals in this game would definitely help boost their performance.

I think the home fans will be fully behind the team, and the Seattle Sounders are far better than their opponents nowadays, so I expect them to win this game. However, they may not be able to pull off a big win as Sporting Kansas' leader Peter Vermes, whose job is on the line, is expected to motivate his players to fight to the end.
