The second team to be promoted in the next season of the English Premier League, Saffer United beat West Bromwich Albion 2-0 at home in the early hours of Thursday (27), locking up the runner-up position in the league ahead of schedule and returning to the English Premier League after a lapse of two years. Saffron's leader Higginbottom has been in charge of the team for 18 months, and he has helped the team to qualify for promotion, which is definitely the biggest hero of the club's promotion.

Saffer United has been relegated to the Championship since 2021 and has been in a crisis in terms of both performance and finances. Higginbottom was 16th in the Championship when he took over in November last year, but he eventually helped Saffer United reach the play-offs for promotion last season, but unfortunately they lost out to Nordinham Forest in the last 4 rounds. This season, Saffron was plagued by financial problems, and in January this year was banned from buying, Higginbottom even on the sale of the main force with the senior dispute, and ultimately succeeded in retaining the core of the Sindabej and so on.

Saffied United's late-season form is in fine fettle, winning six of their last seven league games, leaving third-placed Luton seven points behind, and locking up a top-two finish in the Premier League alongside the Bhoys. Higginbottom said after the game: "In the 18 months I've been in charge, the team has been performing at a high level, and no one deserves to be promoted more than these players. Saffied's promotion will ensure a revenue of £170 million (about HK$1.665 billion) in the next three years, which will be a great help to the team's finances.
