Two teams at the bottom of the league table, Melbourne Victory and FC MacArthur, will go head-to-head, and I'm sure both will be eager to win to try and avoid finishing the season at the bottom of the pack.
Melbourne Victory have had a disappointing season after a good year last year, and despite high expectations at the start of the season, they have recently become the first team to fail to finish in the top 6 for sure. I think the team is focusing too much on Nani and hoping that he can bring the team back to its previous high level. When Nani is healthy, he is still a capable player, but he is never a player who can lead the team by himself. There are a number of players in the squad who have not been able to step up and fill the void left by Nani who has been out for most of the season due to injuries.
FC MacArthur are no better, with no wins in their last 5 matches and no shutouts. They have conceded the most goals in the A-League this season, and I would be quite surprised if Melbourne Victory fail to score this time. With that in mind, FC MacArthur will need to improve their offense if they want to come back with points. Leroy Llanos has scored 2 goals in his last 3 matches and I expect him to be the biggest threat in this match.
Although FC MacArthur's recent performance has been poor, they have managed to score at least one goal in each of their last 6 matches. I think they will be able to narrowly beat the demoralized Melbourne Victory in this match.
