Arsenal's record signing Nicolas Pepe could be sold this summer!

Arteta has revolutionized the club since taking over, developing a young squad that has transformed Arsenal from contenders for European qualification to a formidable title-winning side with just 10 games remaining.

With the Spaniard seemingly happy with the players he trusts, reports suggest that Arsenal are prepared to allow a number of fringe players to leave as the summer window approaches.

Pepe has scored six goals in Ligue 1 and two in the Europa League this season. Even if Pepe is performing well, it will be difficult for him to stay considering he is earning £140,000 a week and has one year left on his contract this summer.

Ivorian winger Pepe joined the Gunners from Ligue 1's Lille in 2019 for £72 million. He scored just 16 goals in 80 league games for the club and was loaned out to Nice last summer. He has been in incredible form in North London. Also, Saka's impressive performances on the right made it difficult for him to establish himself among the Gunners.

With the Premier League leaders refreshed mentally, they are expected to sell the 27-year-old in the summer window to raise some of the cash to strengthen for next season.

According to The Sun, Nice could sign Pepe from the Gunners at the end of the season and the player himself seems open to the idea.

Pepe is one of seven players who could be sold. Lokonga, Niles and Suarez have all been loaned out to play for other teams in the Premier League, with the other three spending the season overseas.

Tavares was on loan at Marseille last summer, Lunarsson is at Turkish soccer club Alanya Sports and Pablo Mari is at Monza in Italy. All players are likely to move on to find new clubs once these deals are over.

Arteta's side are eight points above their closest challengers Manchester City and the two teams went head-to-head in April in what will be a crucial battle to determine ownership of the season. Whether Arsenal lift the Premier League trophy or not, they are virtually a lock to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Arteta is looking to prepare his side for the Champions League next season, so it will be necessary to sell some valuable players and raise funds in the summer transfer window.

Midfield target Subi Mendy appears determined to stay at Real FC, with Caicedo signing a new contract with Brighton after January's defeat. England midfielder Declan Rice is another option. He has just scored in the Three Lions' first Euro qualifier win over Italy and is in great form.

If they want to sign the aforementioned players, they will have to spend a lot of money to compete in the transfer market. Arsenal's title bid this season is largely down to their success in the transfer market, with keeper Ramsdale praising the impact of these transfers.

Ramsdale said in an interview, "The addition of Jesus and Zinchenko is a big help. They have been winning titles and doing so." .

"If Jineo comes in now, he's a championship player as well and he's won all the trophies apart from the Premier League and the World Cup. So I think everyone has a story that adds more than last year and everything is going well and we are getting the rewards."
