On the last day of 2022, a look back at a selection of the 10 biggest events that happened this year:

1. Paradise Football Team - Brazilian King Pele (82) reporting for duty

Pele, the 82-year-old Brazilian soccer king, is not actually called Pele.

Pele's official name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento, Edson is taken from the American inventor Thomas Edison (but his parents dropped the i) Pele is a nickname given to him by his childhood playmates, who gave him the nickname because he was fond of the player Bile, but had a lisp and pronounced it as Pele. Pele once disclosed in a press interview that he didn't like the nickname in his childhood and argued with his friends at every turn, "I had a very happy childhood! My name is Edson, but my friends called me Pele, I do not like, began to argue with them, I am a fan of Edison, Pele is what is Edison is very important.

Looking at Pele's life, although he only played for Santos in Brazil and New York Cosmos in the United States, he never traveled to Europe, but he was the first person ever to win the World Cup 3 times, and thus was crowned the King of Balls.

In his retirement, he was also legendary for his ravenous mouth, and teams of all sizes that were favored by him usually ended up in a bad situation.

Recently, Pele was not feeling well, and the media had been reporting that Pele was in critical condition and about to pass away, but it was the World Cup in Cada, so he continued to hold on with willpower to maintain the morale of the Brazilian team (however, Pele's crow's mouth was also in the last dance to screw up the Brazilian team at this time). On 12/29, Pele's agent confirmed that the legendary footballer passed away in a Sao Paulo hospital due to organ failure from colon cancer, and his daughter also confirmed the death. His daughter also confirmed the news. After his death, his parent team Santos announced that Pele's wake will be held at the team's home stadium next Monday, and his body will be transported from the hospital to the stadium, where the coffin will be placed in the center of the stadium.

A number of current stars have tweeted their condolences for the ancient beast going to heaven, with Brazilian late bloomer Naymar writing a paragraph that reads, Before Pele, 10 was just a number, I've read sentences like this, which are beautiful but incomplete, before Pele, soccer was just a sport, it was he who changed everything, turning it into art and entertainment. He was a voice for the poor and the black, and more importantly, he showed the world Brazil. Soccer and Brazil were transformed by him, and although he is gone, the magic is still there, and Pele lives on.

On the bright side, Brazil's Pele and Argentina's Diego Maradona, who barely overlapped during their lives, will finally meet, but will they be teammates or rivals?

2. Kata World Cup -

Lionel Messi (1987-), Argentine footballer

Argentina's star after 36 years, France breaks the curse, Asia and Africa rise up

Every World Cup carries the script of all the countries' stories. The final ending is more like the result of a united effort than the arrangement of the soccer gods.

Argentina has suffered eight consecutive defeats since Diego Maradona won the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, putting Messi, who announced before this tournament that it would be his last, under immense pressure to chase history.

The first game of Group C against Saudi Arabia unexpectedly suffered a 1-2 reversal of Waterloo, but the loss to Asia was like a blow to the head, then they took the next 2 games to advance to the knockout stage at the top of the group, and in a row, 2-1 Australia, 2-2PK battle to beat the Netherlands, and 3-0 victory over Croesusia, and finally and the reigning champions of the final match in France.

Lionel Messi (1987-), Argentine footballer

Kylian Mbappé and PSG teammates, Argentina and France teamed up for a classic World Cup final. Argentina built a 2-0 lead in the first half through Messi and Angel Di Maria, but to their surprise, Kylian Mbappé scored in the 80th minute to equalize in just two minutes with a 12-yarder and a sports goal. Messi scored again in the prolonged match, and Kylian Mbappé then equalized again with a 12-yarder.

Both PKs scored from the first point, so basically it was all about the two of them canceling each other out, and the rest was up to their teammates. Emiliano Martínez once again demonstrated his ability to save PKs, and led Argentina to the final victory, winning the star once again after a 36-year hiatus.

Messi not only lifted the Copa Libertadores, but also received the Golden Ball for the best player of the tournament and was crowned Ballon d'Or by the monarch of the landlord's country.

dreams and don't want to stop trying, even though I'm aware of the possibility that it will never happen.

France failed to break their title defense curse, but on the bright side, at least they broke their self-imposed curse of European countries winning the World Cup and then exiting the next tournament.

Croesusia had someone's last dance as well, with Luka Modric and the Golden Generation taking the bronze medal for good measure.

Morocco was crushed by Spain-Portugal in the last group stage, this time in Group F big

an upset (esp. in sports)

The team won the 1st place in the group and pulled out the double teeth of Iberia, and despite the defeat of France and Croesus, the 2nd place in Group F, the team made the best in Africa by finishing in the 3rd place.
