In a recent interview, Real Betis sporting director Fajardo gave a comprehensive summary of the team's various operations during the summer transfer window, as well as an outlook on the team's future direction.

Speaking about the transfer of Ceballos, Fajardo frankly said that the team did have contact with Ceballos before the transfer window closed, but unfortunately, the two sides ultimately failed to reach an agreement on the transfer. Nevertheless, Fajardo still expressed his blessing to Ceballos and hoped that there will be a chance to bring him back to Real Betis in the future.

In regards to Vales' situation, Fajardo noted that Vales is still a Las Palmas player and is under contract with the latter. He understands that Las Palmas may choose to press Vales into the stands, but can't do anything about it and can only wish Vales and Las Palmas the best.

On the subject of Fekir's departure, Fajardo revealed that in the last days of the transfer window, Fekir's team submitted an offer to the team. After communicating with the player himself, both parties agreed that Fekir's time at Real Betis was over and therefore decided to accept the offer and let Fekir leave the team. This decision was approved by all parties and was considered the best option for both the player and the team.

Speaking about the introduction of Lo Celso, Fajardo specifically mentioned Cardoso's priority clause. He said that Cardoso's destination next summer will depend on the thoughts of the Tottenham Hotspur team and other teams interested in bringing him in. This shows that Real Betis not only focuses on the player's immediate strength when bringing in players, but also gives full consideration to the team's future squad construction and transfer strategy.

Finally, Fajardo expressed his great enjoyment and respect for the experience of working with Joaquin. He emphasized that Joaquin means everything to the team and that his presence and contributions are invaluable to the team.
