Alexander Isak, who scored the winning goal in Newcastle United's 2-1 home win over Tottenham Hotspur in the third round of the Premier League, was interviewed after the match to share his feelings and thoughts on the game.

Isaac couldn't hide his joy, stating, "It was my first goal of the season, so it felt great to score and help the team win the game. It means a lot to me and is a recognition of my personal efforts."

Isaac had a clear vision of his team's overall performance: "We didn't expect to have too much possession in this game because we know that Tottenham are a technically excellent team. Instead, we focused more on creating threats on the counter-attack. Although it wasn't the prettiest game we've played, we defended very well, managed to limit the opponent's attack and scored two goals, so the end result was good."

Speaking of his goal, Isaac singled out teammate Jacob Murphy for his unselfish assist: "Jacob gave a great assist, his pass was very precise and unselfish. I just had to be in the right place and finish the shot. It proved once again the importance of teamwork."

In addition, Isaac spoke about the advantage of playing at home: "We always feel extra energy and motivation when we play at home. We had talked before the game about how we were going to capitalize on that. In the second half, when we slipped a bit, we quickly found our form and were re-energized. Those small adjustments made a huge difference and ultimately helped us win the game."

Finally, Isaac was confident about the team's future, "We are a united team and everyone has a strong desire to win. I believe that as long as we continue to maintain this form and team spirit, we will be able to achieve more victories in future matches."
