World Cup third-place game, Croatia vs. Morocco.
There is no doubt that Croatia and Morocco are quite disappointed not to be in the final of the World Cup, but I think both teams should be proud of their achievements as no one expected them to go this far.
It was a pity that Morocco was defeated by France. They played incredibly well, and even though two of their main defenders, Lou Mansas and Mashaalao, were unable to play due to injuries or left the game early, the team was still able to cause problems for the French defense. Obviously, some of their better defensive players are not in good enough shape to play this game.
Morocco tried to minimize France's attacking threat by playing a 5-guard formation in the quarterfinals, but they are expected to revert to a 4-3-3 against Croatia, who have a very strong midfield. Scherzinger and Poufal will be a threat on the wings, while striker Annesley, who has been quiet against France, will be hoping to get more touches on the ball and utilize his aerial advantage to good effect.
Croatia lost to Argentina, but will be eager to end Modi's World Cup journey on a good note. 1998 when I played for Spain.
the national team
When they did, they came back with a third-place finish, which would really be a remarkable achievement if they did it again.
Croatia is expected to have most of the possession in the middle of the midfield, but they need to strengthen their attacking power up front. Apart from the 4-1 win over Canada in the group stage, they only scored two goals in their remaining five matches, so offense is clearly the team's weakness.
However, Bilic, and I must mention Modic, will continue to provide great creativity in the midfield, and if Lovun and Gavadol can keep the defense tight, I think Croatia will be able to narrowly beat Morocco this time, and become the third runner-up of the World Cup once again.
