Italy has won four World Cups to date (1934, 1938, 1982 and 2006)

Italy is one of the most successful national soccer teams, having won four World Cups, just one less than Brazil, and was the first European country to win the World Cup.

Italy's traditional jersey is the blue shirt, white pants and blue socks, and in the world of soccer, Italy is known for its success in defensive counterattacking tactics, and its backline has been praised as "reinforced concrete" many times in the history of modern soccer. However, Italy also has experience in playing passing and attacking soccer, and has never lacked talented players in the attacking line, making it a truly traditional top team. In addition, Italy once held the record for the longest unbeaten streak in international matches (37), which was later broken by Spain in the UEFA Europa League.

Italy has so far won four World Cups (1934, 1938, 1982 and 2006), two European Football Championships (1968 and 2020), one Olympic soccer tournament (1936) and two Central European World Cups (defunct).

Since the inception of the World Cup in 1930, Italy has won two World Cups, in 1934 and 1938.The 1934 World Cup was hosted by Italy, with Italy defeating Czechoslovakia 2-1 in extra time in the final, and the 1938 World Cup was hosted by France, when Italy successfully defended its title with a 4-2 victory over Hungary, making it the first team to successfully defend a World Cup title, and the first team from a non-host country to win the World Cup.

The team was again crowned champions. The man of the match was striker Paulo Rossi, who had been suspended for two years before the tournament due to a match-fixing scandal, but was still trusted by head coach Beazolet, resulting in Rossi being the top scorer of the tournament with six goals. Goalkeeper and captain Zoff became the oldest player to win the World Cup at the age of 40.

In the 2006 World Cup, Italy, under the leadership of famous coach Lippi, had a balanced attack and defense, scored two goals in the last two minutes of extra time to kill host Germany in the quarterfinals, and beat France in the final on penalties to win the World Cup for the fourth time. Captain Carlo Cannavaro and goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon performed well and made the team concede only two goals, one goal was an oulong and one goal was a penalty kick.
