In the early morning of September 8, Beijing time, the much-anticipated first match of the new season of the UEFA Nations League will be staged, and the England team will go away to challenge the Irish team. On the eve of this match full of gunpowder flavor, Irish soccer celebrity Shay Girvan accepted an interview with The Sun, expressing unique insights into the match and special messages to some of the players.

Girvan began by talking about England's acting boss, Carsley's special connection with Ireland. He mentioned that it was "crazy" that Carsley, who was his national teammate, would now be leading England away to Ireland as a rival. Girvan believes that Carsley has a deep emotional connection to the game, but he is also aware of the importance of the game and the challenge he will face, and therefore does not expect Lee (possibly a nickname for Carsley) to walk around the pitch after the game to pay his respects.

Girvan then turned to two outstanding players who have worn the Ireland shirt - Rice and Gralish. He singled out Gralish and revealed that he had texted the England midfielder to tell him he would be "very welcome" away from home. Girvan jokingly expressed his hope that Gralish would receive a "warm welcome" when he returned to Dublin, while Gralish responded with a smiling emoji, showing the friendly interaction between the two and their relaxed approach to the game.

Girvan also added that Casley has a close association with the game and he believes that most Irish fans would like to see Casley in their coaching box at the weekend, but the reality is that he will be appearing as England's coach. This will be Casley's first appearance in Dublin as an opponent and the game has special meaning and significance for him personally and for all fans.
