Career:
In 2005, at the age of 12, Guo Ailun joined the Liaoning youth team and began to receive systematic training and participate in official games.
In 2007, he participated in Liaoning Provincial Junior Basketball Competition and led the team to advance to the next level. In Beijing, he participated in Li-Ning Basketball Camp and was selected to play in the All-Star Game and won the single award of "Best Fundamental Skills"; in December of the same year, he participated in the National Junior Basketball Competition and led the team to win the championship, and he won the second place in the technical test.

2011-2012 Season: Played in 30 regular season games, averaging 8.6 points, 2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.9 steals in 21.3 minutes per game, shooting 47.5% from the field. In the season, he scored 30 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals in the All-Star Game, leading the North team to a 105-88 victory over the South team and winning the MVP of the game; in the All-Star Game, he finished the game with 32.7 seconds and no turnovers, and beat Zeng Lingxu to win the championship.
2012-2013 Season: Played 32 games in the regular season, averaging 15.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.8 steals in 33.8 minutes per game, shooting 51.1% from the field, and was selected as the league's Most Improved Player and Best Organized Guard. In the All-Star game, he scored 7 points and won the skill game again. Played 5 games in the playoffs, averaging 39 minutes per game, Liaoning lost to Xinjiang in the first round by a score of 2-3.

National team experience:
In August 2010, under the age of 17, Guo Ailun became the youngest member of the national team in history when he was selected to play with the first team of the Chinese men's basketball team in the World Championships in Turkey.
He made his Olympic debut with the team in 2012; won the Asian Championship with the team in 2015; made his second trip to the Olympics in 2016; and traveled with the team to the Basketball World Cup in China in 2019 .
