Eberle on Sunday
Bayern
Interviewed after the 2-0 win over Wolfsburg, the topic of the search for a new coach came up again. He criticized the disclosure of news by too many people in the process and expressed his dissatisfaction with it. Eberl said, "It annoys us that things didn't go as we had envisioned. Too many voices emerged during this period, not only from the media but sometimes from the storytellers themselves. Our critics sometimes behaved very aggressively."
In previous rumors, Bayern has been in hot water with the likes of Nagelsmann and Rangnick, but Eberle is not happy about it. He believes that usually the conversations are held privately and then an agreement is reached or not and then each leaves. But things are different now, which makes things more complicated.
Bayern are trying to find a new coach, Eberl said, "The club must try to find the best person for the job, we are having conversations, not only with a coach, we want to find a new coach as soon as possible."
On the possibility of Tuchel staying on to continue coaching, Eberle ruled out that possibility. And on the rumors of Frick's return to Bayern, Eberle responded, "Until today I have not commented on any single name, even if you have come to me and asked me, which is legal. I won't do it until someone signs a contract."
As well as Furyk, it has also been suggested that Ebell prefers to sign Brighton skipper De Zerbi and is pushing for his signature.
