Hamann noted that Frick had very good results the last time he was in charge of Bayern, but those successes came during the New Crown epidemic, when Germany resumed play a few weeks earlier than the rest of the world and enjoyed a physical advantage. He expressed skepticism that Frick would be able to achieve such success again, pointing to his performance at the 2022 World Cup during his time in charge of Germany.
Frick joined Germany after leaving Bayern in 2021 and led the team out of the group stage at the World Cup. During his time in charge of Germany, he had a record of 12 wins, 7 draws and 6 losses.
It was previously reported that Bayern had held conversations with Frick about some of the demands he wanted to be met, such as bringing back Klose as an assistant coach. However, sporting director Eberle would prefer to sign Brighton boss De Zerbi and is working internally towards that.
