He noted, "The situation is becoming clearer and could be frustrating news for Real Madrid fans. As things stand, Kroos and Modric are more likely to leave Real Madrid than they are to stay."
"Real Madrid fans want Modric to stay, and Modric himself wants to stay at Real Madrid. But there are only three people who can do anything to solve this problem, and that's the two players themselves and Florentino. We knew that one of Kroos and Modric would be leaving this summer, but now it looks like both are going, which will leave a hole that will be hard to fill. Camavenga, Joan Armeni, Valverde ...... they are all great but lack the kind of personality and determination that Kroos and Modric have."
