The news on May 14 showed that, according to German media outlet Bild-Zeitung
Borussia Dortmund (city in Germany)
a forward (sports)
Arles (city in Greek mythology)
Likely to leave the club this summer and could target Turkish giants Besiktas, with Dortmund willing to sell him for a lower price.
Ale's contract doesn't end until 2025, but according to reports, signs are now pointing to a likely departure and his next stop could be Turkey. The report claims that the striker is extremely unhappy with his current position in the team, partly due to the fact that he has only made 18 appearances (totaling 514 minutes) this season, scoring just three goals.
The 29-year-old striker's market value has fallen from a peak of €45 million (September 2019) to €14 million. Within the squad, German international Phil Kruger (16 goals and 10 assists this season) has been more than a match for the club, further diminishing Allé's place in the team.
Besiktas were reportedly interested in bringing in Allé during the winter window this season, and now they could be back in the hunt. Allé joined Dortmund from Ajax in the summer of 2022 for a transfer fee of €31 million, and with a salary of nearly €10 million, he is one of the top-paid players in the squad.
Dortmund are willing to sell Aly for much less than the purchase price if Besiktas are really interested in him, with their asking price reportedly in the region of €10 million.
Ale's partnership with Borussia Dortmund has had its fair share of twists and turns: he was diagnosed with testicular cancer shortly after joining the club and was out for half a season. In the last round of last season, he conceded a penalty that directly caused the team to miss out on the league title. But his goal in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Atletico Madrid helped the team to reach the semi-finals, and on June 1, he will also play in the Champions League final with Dortmund.
